CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores 20/21 Final Predictions

Argentina’s River Plate & Boca Juniors & Brazil’s Santos and Palmeiras are the four football teams to be competing for the final two places in this edition of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores and these are BetGold’s Final predictions. As we head into the final of the Copa Libertadores football competition, now would be a great time to take a look at it and make a prediction about what could happen in the final legs of the semi-final matches to take place and who could potentially go on to win the biggest club competitionb> in all of South American football.

Copa Libertadores 20/21 Review

The Argentinians River Plate, Boca Juniors and the brazilians Palmeiras and Santos have each managed to come through to the later stages of the CONMEBOL tournament after starting in the Group Stage of the football competition, with each of them having finished top of their respective groups. According to the most obvious predictions, River Plate defeated Brazilian side Club Athletico Paranaense in the Round of 16 with a 1-0 victory over two-legs, whilst Santos defeated Ecuadorian outfit Liga de Quito on away goals with a 2-2 aggregate. Boca Juniors sealed their own place in the next round of the Libertadores after defeating Internacional on penalties after 1-1 on aggregate whilst Palmeiras coasted past Delfin SC 8-1 over two-legs.

First Leg Of The Copa Libertadores 2020-2021 Semi-Finals

With the first legs having been played already, one game already looks to be determined, whilst the other still firmly remains in the balance. Indeed, River Plate look set to go out of the CONMEBOL competition after losing 0-3 to Palmeiras in the first game. The Argentine’s football side dominated much of the game, however the Brazilian’s managed to capitalise on the fact that they had a one-man advantage for the last 30 minutes and took their chances when they could.

The other Copa Libertadores game, though, was incredibly tight as Boca Juniors and Santos will head into their semi-final meeting in Brazil with nothing separating them. Their first encounter finished 0-0, despite being a game that was rather open. Therefore picking who could make it to go to the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Final could be a challenging task and one that can go either way.

Betting On The Libertadores 20/21 Semi-Final Second Leg

Looking ahead, BetGold members may be keen to place a bet on the overall winner of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores 20/21 football tournament and they will be able to do so with us. By checking out the ‘Outright’ betting tab for the competition, members will find that Palmeiras are the great favourites, although that should not be a surprise considering they dismantled River Plate with ease. Furthermore, prior to the Libertadores game, the Argentine’s were considered strong favourites to win the entire South American club competition, as well.

In regards to the match itself, our predictions foresee that it would be difficult to see River Plate overturn the three goal deficit and win the tie and the odds reflect that when looking at ‘Exact Score’ markets. However, with some large odds available and the fact that they know they have to attack, then perhaps there is some value in them for some bettors. Our prediction is that Boca Juniors remain favourites to edge out Santos in the final semi-final match, with a scoreline of 0-1 to the Argentines favoured. If you look at our outright betting board, they are considered second favourites to win the overall tournament, although that may be down to the favourable position that they hold currently.
